Event/plotting for MARCH
Weather conditions
Autumn has arrived at Kollo, but the weather will still remain fairly warm throughout March. You can expect temperatures of around 20C/68F during sunny days, dropping to 15C/60F at night. The water is still warm enough to take a swim but you may need a sweater in the evenings. While the weather is still for the most part dry, you can expect thunderstorms from time to time as the temperature shifts.
Autumn also brings the harvest season. Guests can find ripe fruit in the community garden and blueberries and lingonberries in the woods. Those who visits the farm will also be able to bring some fresh veggies with them back - a harvest event is planned for next month.
Waterlilies Blooming
One unseasonable anomaly is the abundance of blooming waterlilies that crowd the jetty, the lake and especially the beach. Those familiar with the climate will know that waterlilies typically don't bloom this late in the year and the locals will seem particularly on edge during this time. Olivia will issue warnings not to go near the water, but she's been saying that since Kollo opened. It's fine... right?
Those who still venture near the water will find themselves inexplicably drawn to it. They may see a shadow move under the surface, or feel like something is watching them from between the waterlily pads. Should you go into the water you may find yourself grabbed and groped - never pulled under but someone is definitely up to mischief! You may hear laughter like a babbling brook, or feel long tendrils brush against your skin under the surface.
This will be especially potent should you be near the lake, where guests may spot a stark white horse between the trees or hear the sound of a violin playing from some undetermined location. The longer you remain by the water, the more likely it is that you'll come eye to eye with the real lord of this Island: the Brook.
If you want an encounter with the Brook, please sign your character up here! You can also request other NPCs if your character would like to gather more information about the strange events! A mingle will be posted before the end of the week, but you are as always welcome and encouraged to make your own posts!

no subject
Character: Jack Harkness
Can typically be found: Being active (swimming, farming, walking) or sociable (hanging round the community centre, especially in the evenings, welcoming newcomers, and at any parties/mingles there might be)
CR I'm looking for: Particularly anyone Jack might develop either a lighthearted, flirtatious relationship with (without it necessarily going anywhere, because of Spike and Ianto, but he does enjoy a good flirt!) OR anyone he can connect with, through sharing any similarities such as loss, immortality etc. OR negative CR, anyone he might clash with - always fun!
Things I'd like to do: Jack has a lot going on - getting over his loss, reconnecting with Ianto and Spike, coming round to the idea of getting Ianto turned into a vampire - so anything that vibes with any of that, or sets him back on any of those paths etc. is very welcome. Basically, I do love a bit of drama!
