State of the Game/Events
Hello everyone!
I've taken some time to read your feedback on the State of the Game Survey (if you still have input you want to share, it's never too late) and I've made some plans for the future.
EVENTS
You asked for more supernatural events, and that's what you're getting! The schedule for the autumn season of Kollo looks like this:
March: Waterlilies Blossoming
April: Autumn Harvest
May: House Gnome Mayhem
June: Kura Skymning
July: Whispers in the Dark
August: All Soul's Night
As you may have noticed, the events will now stretch out the entire month. There'll be an event info post at the start of each month, usually along with a mingle, but players will be encouraged to engage with the event of the month in a way that suits their own schedule.
DAYPOSTS
Moving forward, I'd like to keep the pace a little less bound to a strict passage of time and more forgiving of back tagging and the slower pace of the game. This means I will no longer make dayposts at the start of a new ic-day. The passage of time will still follow the same pace of 1 ic day= 1 ooc week, so a character who has been in the game for a month will have been on the island for roughly 4 ic days.
If you'd still like to keep track of how many days your character has been at Kollo, the game calendar still has the dayweeks available.
PLAYER EVENTS
Less of a change and more of a reminder - Kollo relies heavily on player participation, and as such I'm always interested in facilitating player events! If you have an idea that could use some modly help, or just a suggestion for a future event you'd like to see in the game, please contact me through PM or kollomods@gmail.com!
FRESH BLOOD
The lack of players was the biggest concern brought up by far, and I agree wholeheartedly. Moving forward I will make an effort to advertise the game and hopefully scrounge up some new players to liven the place up! If you would like to help with this effort, I'm all ears for suggestions!
I'd also like to reiterate that Kollo was always meant as a game for people who don't have time for games. It's a haven for back taggers and people who show up late with Starbucks and I never want that to change. I love our small community (though we could use a few more faces!) and as long as you can make it in once a month to check in, you're welcome to stay as long as you'd like. No pressure. ♥
