Event/plotting for APRIL
I'm trying a new thing here where I don't post the monthly event/mingle until after applications have closed. What a concept!
Weather conditions
While still not particularly cold, you can definitely start to feel a nip in the air by now. The birch trees are starting to turn color into a bright, golden yellow, while others still have a little ways to go. The sun is setting earlier and a sweater or jacket is a must during the night, unless you're particularly hot blooded. You may still get away with short sleeves during the day, as long as the wind is calm and the sun is shining.
The woods are now ripe with berries and mushrooms, perfect for guests who enjoy a bit of foraging. The community garden still has plenty of fruit, though some are starting to look a little frost nipped... anyone who enjoys an early morning breakfast may catch sight of a deer or moose partaking in the fruit that has already fallen off the branches.
Autumn Harvest
Guests will wake up one morning to find flyers pinned to the front door of their cabin. Further inspection will show that the very same flyers — hand texted, poorly photo copied — are plastering most communal surfaces. It's harvest time up on the farm and Einar could use all the help he can get.
Those who decide to venture up to the farm to help out or just grab some fresh carrots will find a flurry of activity. It may be warm still but winter is coming and this is one of the busiest times they have on the farm. There's hay to bale, vegetables to pick, fruit to preserve and a whole load of other back-breaking chores that need to be done before the rain and the wind and the snow comes back. If Einar catches your eye, you bet he'll put you to work with promises of extra credits down at the general store.
This event will double as the newcomer mingle, and there will be opportunities to interact with Einar directly should you want to!
